“Erard Facteur de forte pianos et harpes du Roi … … à Paris” — a stamp by black dye on the sound board (under the dampers of the strings of the middle register);
“Par Brevet Erard à Paris” — inlaid with brass in the lid; “19367” — embossed with a punch on the pin block (area of the tuning pegs of the descant register); “MONBRO AINÉ / PARIS” — engraved on a brass plate screwed to the case below the keys;
“Manderfeld” — an ink inscription by pen on the bridge (area of the balance pins of the descant register); “…tturd Ma… 186[4]7” — an inscription by pencil on the side surface of the lever of the key g of the four-line octave.

The key action is hoppered. There is 1 pedal to detach the dampers from the strings. The case is veneered with rosewood, decorated with bronze plates. The plate on the upper front panel is an oval porcelain plate depicting a gallant scene.
