“R. RATHKE / ST PETERSBURG” — inlaid with brass in the lid; “5012 / [image on the coat-of-arms: two lions with the heads towards one another]” — an inscription by black dye on the frame (area of the tuning pegs of the bass register);
“1907 31/III” — a handwritten inscription by pencil on the key A of the double contra octave;
“934” — embossed with a punch on the outside of the lid and on the case (area of the key а of the four-line octave);
“L. ISERMANN / HAMBURG” — embossed with a punch on the back side of the key action.

The frame is cast iron. There are 2 pedals: the left draws the hammers nearer to the strings, thereby weakening the force of their striking. Details of the mechanism of the lute register, which was not mounted completely, remained. The case is tinted black. The keyboard is supported by 2 turned posts. The upper front side is divided into 3 raised panels: bronze candlesticks for 2 candles are set in the outmost raised panels. The raised panels are decorated with linear carving and further tinted golden (floral-geometric ornament)
